You may be able to tell by my header photo that I tend to be a little too fond of snow. Probably because I’ve had little need to shovel it or drive in it or work in it. When I lived on Maui I came to crave a snow fix, and so planned a winter trip to Chicago to visit family.
Now that I live in Chicago… well, I still love snow. I actually carry my camera around with me all the time, and sometimes I can’t walk by a snow scene without pulling it out to take a shot (or two).
I’m wondering if this “snowpocalypse” will change that. Its not really the snow that’s intimidating – its the accompanying wind. They made it easy on us by closing the office so we can stay home. I hear about 123,000 people have lost power at some point (but not me, thankfully). So far, I still have internet. And I read blizzard days are great days to bake, so I made chicken noodle soup last night, and I’m going to test out one of the aebelskiver recipes I collected this morning. Well, those really aren’t “baking.” But I’ll find something to throw in that oven.
